Biography

Sarah Gangstad is co-founder and partner at Fugate Gangstad Lowe. Sarah practices family law and counsels her clients through difficult times such as divorce as well as assisting clients with guardianships and support modifications and enforcement. 

Sarah gained admittance into the Illinois Bar in 2008 and the Indiana Bar in 2009. While in law school, Sarah interned for the Indiana Department of Education. She worked on several federal cases as a document review attorney in Chicago. She volunteered for Chicago Legal Advocates for Incarcerated Mothers. She was an assistant for Judge Paul Mathias on the Indiana Court of Appeals. Sarah has been practicing exclusively family law since 2015. 

Before working as a family law attorney, Sarah taught for Carmel Clay Schools and Chicago Public Schools. Sarah understands the effect that family law matters have on both parents and children and counsels her clients to ensure they achieve their goals while minimizing the personal and emotional trauma. 

Sarah lives in Carmel with her family. She enjoys traveling, reading, good food, and yoga. Sarah was named to the 2019 and 2020 Super Lawyer’s List of Rising Stars.
